€ 24,95
Quassia Amara cups are hand made by indigenous inhabitants of Surinam in the Eastern Amazon rainforest. They are used to make extremely bitter water by pouring water in the cup and wait a couple of hours or by leaving it inside overnight. This bitter water is drunk for various medicinal and balancing reasons.
Most people drink the bitter water on a empty stomach every day for a week. Then every other day for a week. The third week they drink it only twice or three times.
This is done twice a year.
Like all bitters it has a positive effect on the digestive system. People in Surinam say they use the water to purify their blood and to suppress malaria symptoms. It’s an official registered medicine at the WHO.
The plant is named after its founder -Kwasi-.Who discovered it in a dream!
More information on the plant and Its workings can be found in pharmacognosy books and pubmed.
Weight may vary a bit as well as the size but the height is approximately 13 cm and the width 4.5 cm.
